Working On Wednesday
This is the Old Shale Scarf from Tiennie. (Ravelry link and non-Ravelry link) I am loving this scarf. The minute I saw it on her blog I thought of this yarn and knew it would make a really pretty (and cozy!) combination. The yarn is from KNIT! on etsy (of course). Its called Peach Cobbler and it is a merino/nylon blend. Its soft and squishy and is knitting up beautifully in this pattern. So far I am about a fourth of the way in, so 20 or so inches.
I've done a feather and fan scarf before (blog post and Ravelry) but that was with Aran weight yarn and that is one I will never see again. It turns out that we dumped the recipient as a friend very shortly after I gave her the scarf. She'd been around for years, but she had turned into not a very nice person very quickly.
I noticed as I was shooting the photos that it goes pretty well with the living room couch too.

oh it is beautiful!
Very pretty and it does go with the couch quite nicely.
I think the feather and fan pattern is one of my favorites all around. It just looks awesome.
Sorry about that friend, it's her loss if you ask me.
Beautiful scarf!
I love the way that looks -- the colors and the pattern work really well together!
I'm thinking the scarf looks like rolling hills at sunrise, especially after the previous post had me thinking of mountains. Beautiful!
Yum! As you know, I love those colors--and the fit with the pattern is just about perfect! It must be fun to knit.
Pretty! For a (relatively) simple pattern, it is so effective.
Really pretty. It reminds me of the colors I used to make my monkey socks.
Gosh darn it. I like yours better than mine!
ooh, I love it. Great choice of yarn
That is a very pretty scarf.
Pretty scarf! I thought the same thing when I saw Tienne's post. I like the way the color changes.
